Installing Filemaker Server 18 on Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition and getting Port In Use Error
If you are installing Filemaker Server 18 (FMS 18) on Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition and receive and error that port 80 and 443 are in use and your installation cannot progress any further, but running netstat -ano isn’t helpful and stopping World Wide Web Publishing Service does not seem to solve the problem, try stopping the Sync Host service. I found that allowed the FMS 18 installation to finish. Sync Host might have some numbers and letters appended to it at the end and is different for every instance.
